Summer Wardrobe Essentials

1. Maxi Dress:

Maxi dresses are one of my favourite pieces because you literally just throw them on and you’re ready to go out. You can style them up for dinner by wearing wedges/heels or style them down by wearing a pair of trainers and a t-shirt underneath for a more casual look. Maxi dresses come in different colours and styles from flowy to bodycon; the most important thing is to choose what you think flatters your body type. You can purchase maxi dresses from numerous stores such as ZARA, boohoo, PrettyLittleThing and several other stores.

2. White Tee:

The white tee is a classic piece. It is great for layering, but it also looks great on its own and it can be styled with anything. Although you can buy white tee’s from various stores for a cheap price, it is worth investing in one with quality as it would last you for years and when washed, it would still remain white.

3. Kimono:

Kimono’s are an essential piece for summer. They can be worn over any outfit if it gets a bit cold during summer. They come in different colours, patterns and lengths and you can purchase one from River Island, Boohoo, Topshop, New Look and various stores.

4. Co-ords:

Co-ords save you so much space in your suitcase. They can be worn separately or together for different looks. You can purchase Co-ords from stores such as: Boohoo, ASOS, Zara etc.

5. Jumpsuit:

Most people don’t wear jumpsuits because they believe that jumpsuits do not  suit their body shape, however they can be very flattering. Numerous jumpsuits cinch at the waistline and drape over the lower body, which creates an hourglass figure. When purchasing jumpsuits, make sure that you purchase the right size, as a jumpsuit that is too tight or lose can be unflattering.

6. Denim ¾ length jeans:

A pair of distressed denim shorts is one of the easiest ways to put an outfit together. It can be styled with a t-shirt for a more casual look or dress it up with heels and a nice blouse.

7. Comfy sandals:

Sandals are stylish yet comfortable. They can be worn to work, parties etc. You can get similar sandals from Clarks, misguided, boohoo etc.

8. Maxi skirt:

Maxi skirts are versatile; they can be paired with anything. As a plus size individual, I always thought that wearing maxi skirts would make me look bigger than I am, rather they make me look slimmer.

9. Evening Bag:

The shape and design of this clutch is amazing.  Although it is quite pricey, stores such as SHEIN, Boohoo, Pretty Little Thing and various other stores have this bag at a lower price.
